Boy Scout Troop and Venturing Crew youth participant and leadership selection is managed at a regional level for the BSA contingent to the 24th World Scout Jamboree (WSJ).
The Last Frontier Council has an opportunity to recruit 4 Boy Scout leaders and 36 Boy Scouts from our council area to make up a contingent troop to send to the WSJ in 2019.
Venturing Crew leaders and Venturers for council area contingent crew(s) are encouraged to sign up as well (no limit has been set yet at the time of this posting).
The Boy Scout leadership will include 3 adults age 21 for scoutmaster and assistant scoutmaster positions and over and a 4th assistant scoutmaster age 18-21. Venturing leadership requires a yet to by determined set of adults age 21 or older as advisors or associate advisors.
Boy Scouts and Venturers must be age 14 – 17 with your birthday between July 22, 2001 and July 21, 2005 to meet age requirements as a youth participant.
(UPDATE 12/07/2017) Females that are currently too young to register in Venturing, but will meet the age requirements before the Jamboree, should reach out to the council in which they will become registered with BSA. Last Frontier Council contact person is Bob Bock.

The disembark / rally point for proceeding will be the hub city of Little Rock, Arkansas with travel by Amtrak to West Virginia. (under review, Jan 2018)
